PA investigation "likely will find" that $1.13 million in state funds intended for job training evidently went to nonprofit's payroll expenses.

"State investigators likely will find that nearly $1 million intended for job training in Beaver, Greene and Washington counties instead was spent on salaries for top officials of a nonprofit agency, a lawyer advising elected officials in charge of the program said Monday. Officials with the state Department of Labor and Industry released preliminary findings in late January that questioned $1.13 million in spending during the past four years by the Washington-Greene County Job Training Agency Inc., the fiscal agent for the Southwest Corner Workforce Investment Board." -- Jason Cato, the Pittsburgh Tribune
