Indy nonprofit has converted old parking meters into "donation meters," where people can deposit change to give homeless food, clothing, and hygiene kits.

"A new campaign kicks off Friday to help the city’s homeless. Park Indy has donated old, refurbished parking meters to the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention (CHIP) to collect donations in locations throughout downtown. Local retailers and businesses are also taking part — displaying information about how people can donate and where the money will go. The initiative is called Know Outlets." -- Dustin Grove, WISHTV.com
