PA restaurant specializes in fried chicken, generates 1,000 lbs. of bones a week; now they're partnering with church to turn them into soup for homeless.

"t the end of each week, Federal Donuts - which has a menu exclusively featuring donuts, fried chicken, and coffee - disposes of the useless backs and bones of chickens. It amounts to about 1,000 pounds of waste per week. But in the next few months, Federal Donuts will reduce its waste, using the byproduct to found a new restaurant called Rooster Soup Co." -- Casey Fabris, the Philadelphia Inquirer
