ME nonprofit will receive $500,000 government grant to support jobs program for inmates transitioning after release from prison.
"The Federal Department of Labor is giving a Maine nonprofit group $500,000 to create a job center at Cumberland County Jail. The money will go to Coastal Counties Workforce Inc. to establish an American Job Center at the jail to help soon-to-be-released inmates find employment.
