Canadian widow is hospitable and generous, but reports her patience (and memory) being tested by charitable solicitation laws that require opt out.

"In the last two months alone, 51 different non-profits have sent Angela letters soliciting donations. Some days, they spill out of her mailbox. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has contributed 11 envelopes to the haul. Several other charities have chipped in five or more. Angela has been donating to charities like Médecins Sans Frontières and Canadian Red Cross for years, but the current deluge started about two years ago, she says." -- Eric Andrew-Gee, the Hamilton (ON) Spectator
