South Reno will have the Greater Reno Community Ice Skating Association to thank when the NHL-sized and Olympic-sized rinks are completed.
"A nonprofit group plans to announce in September a fundraising drive for construction of a new ice skating rink in Reno. The Greater Reno Community Ice Skating Association is developing plans for the rink, which will be just north of the South Valleys Library on Wedge Parkway. The association along will hold a press conference with Mayor Hillary Schieve the first week of September to unveil details about the project as well as fundraising efforts."--Seth A.
