The Boston College Law School professor, Ray Madoff, who has been calling on congress to solidify a legal requirement for charitable payouts, was named philanthropy critic of the year.

"This is the season for “blank-of-the-year” awards, when various people are singled out for their accomplishments. Man of the year, woman of the year, Bostonian of the year, and so on.

"Ray Madoff recently earned one of those honorifics, and it’s an unusual one: philanthropy critic of the year. Madoff is a longtime professor at Boston College Law School, where she’s distinguished herself as an influential thinker on issues affecting the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors."--Globe Staff, The Boston Globe
