University of Michigan scored 2 of the top 15 largest gift pledges in 2013: $200m from Stephen Ross and $110m from Charles Munger.

"University of Michigan received two pledges in 2013 that were among the nation's largest donations given by U.S. philanthropists that year, according to a list compiled by the Chronicle of Philanthropy. Stephen M. Ross pledged $200 million to U-M's athletic department and business school in September. Charles Munger pledged $110 million toward a graduate student dorm and fellowship program. Both donations count toward the $4 billion goal U-M set for its Victors for Michigan fundraising campaign. They also were among the 15 largest publicly announced gifts of 2013." -- Kellie Woodhouse, MLive.com
