Baby registry idea: Scotland is giving new royal Prince George a stuffed toy and £50,000 contributions in his name to national children's charities.

"Two charities will also receive £25,000 donations to celebrate his birth, First Minister Alex Salmond said. The new baby will be able to play with a Cuddly Clyde toy, a miniature version of the animated green thistle which is the 2014 Commonwealth Games mascot. The STV Appeal, which helps children and young people affected by poverty, and community funding charity Foundation Scotland will share £50,000." -- HeraldScotland.com
