With lasting fame as Captain Kirk, and more recent appearances as the negotiator for Priceline.com, William Shatner works off stage to support horse shows and hospitals for kids.
"William Shatner is probably the busiest man in Hollywood. At almost 85 (this March), the veteran stage and screen star–best known for his legendary role as Capt. James T. Kirk in the Star Trek TV series and films–is about to release a new book and is starring in a one-man show at the Nokia Theater. Also a renowned philanthropist, he has helped raise millions of dollars for kids in need.
"Shatner recently hosted a gifting ceremony in Studio City to award funds raised from the Wells Fargo sponsored 2015 Priceline.com Hollywood Charity Horse Show (HCHS), an event he has spearheaded for over two decades. “… we have been able to help thousands of young Angelinos thanks to the support we receive from our generous sponsors and attendees,” Shatner said in a press release. “We are so happy to award the funds raised at the 2015 event to these special-needs organizations.”--Conejo Valley Happening
