Calgary philanthropists Richard and Lois Haskayne pledge $1m to Rosebud Centre, a rural theatre and arts complex housing largest professional theater in Alberta.
"A Calgary couple known for their philanthropy announced a $1 million donation to the Rosebud Centre of the Arts on Friday. The donation from Richard and Lois Haskayne will help the rural theatre retire its mortgage on the Rosebud Mercantile building and assist the centre’s growth, a statement from the centre said. Located in the hamlet of Rosebud, Alta., the centre houses the province’s largest rural professional theatre and the Rosebud School of the Arts." -- the Calgary Herald
